BE COACABLE

Being coachable involves specific traits and behaviors that players need to adopt to improve their skills and build better team dynamics, giving them their best chance to win and be successful.  Being coachable is about embracing the journey of continuous learning and growth. By remaining open, adaptable, and committed, you position yourself to succeed and thrive in various aspects of life.  A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, effective practice habits, and teamwork are attributes of coachability. Coachable players will become better athletes and  gain valuable life skills that extend beyond the diamond. By fostering an environment of mutual respect and continuous improvement, players, coaches, and parents can enjoy a more fulfilling and successful baseball experience.

 

PLAY HARD

Playing hard means consistently giving maximum effort, energy, and focus during a game or practice session. It involves being fully committed to the task at hand, whether it's running at full speed, diving for a catch, or giving your best effort in every play. Playing hard also encompasses mental toughness, resilience, and determination, pushing oneself to overcome challenges and obstacles on the field. It's about leaving your best effort on the field and striving to perform at one's best, regardless of the circumstances.  Playing hard and striving to give one’s best towards a goal brings a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, enhancing overall well-being and happiness.

HAVE FUN

While having fun sounds simple on the surface,  much like an iceberg, there is more than meets the eye.  Having fun is about finding joy in the process and the outcomes of your hard work, and sometimes having fun isn’t fun.  It's about appreciating the sweat, blood, and tears, relishing the challenges of the game, and  finding fulfillment in your accomplishments, whether big or small. This joy comes from reaping the fruits of your labor, whether it's making a great play, winning a game, having a teammate's back or simply improving your skills over time. It's about embracing the journey of improvement and celebrating moments of success along the way.
